LEGAL RESEARCH MEMO: GENDER PAY GAP
This memo was a phase of a research and current event project, assigned in my employment law class. It analyzes the legal question of why a wage gap exists and how to combat it through the judicial and legislative processes.
CORE BUSINESS PLAN
CORE is the epithet of an intensely rigorous semester at BU, encompassing a cross-functional term project. The project requires a team of students to develop, write and present a comprehensive business plan for a product of their design.
My Team created SolPower, a solar charging backpack. I lead the marketing sub-team and primarily edited our written plan.
CORE BUSINESS PLAN: EXCEL
In order to calculate segment sizes, projected earnings, budgets and our financial statements, my team operated through an integrated excel workbook.
CORE BUSINESS PLAN:
To address the risks incorporated in our business plan, we again utilized excel and its functions, such as @RISK, to identify potential threats and develop mitigation strategies.
GENDER SALARY GAP ANALYSIS
This project was a part of my Statistics II class. In a team of two, my partner and I analyzed data to examine the source of the pay gap between genders. While my partner focused on running the regressions themselves, I took the role of evaluator. Based on the regression results, I made the conclusion that the salary gap was primarily a result of unequal opportunity provided to different genders, rather than an explicit disparity in salaries provided for the same job to different genders.
DYNAMIC LEADERSHIP ANALYSIS
Boston University's "Dynamic Leadership in Organizations" course involves a term paper dictating research conducted on organization policies. My team analyzed Harpoon Brewery's practices and developed a diagnostic pertaining to company culture and management.
